Most of the drawings below were done in ink, without
reference, pencil, or an eraser.
I read that the masters - Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphael,
and Albrecht Durer were all required to draw with silverpoint
during their apprentice years, which meant they could not erase,
and once I tried ink-only, I was hooked ever after. It is both
frustrating and rewarding, because it leaves no room for mistakes.
Many of the colors in the drawings below were added after I scanned
the drawing into the computer via Photoshop or Illustrator, and
some have traditional drawings combined with digital line art.
